HomeBound Beta Terms of Use

About HomeBound
HomeBound is a pet recovery and care platform built to help pet families keep important information in one place, respond quickly when a pet goes missing, connect safely with finders, and access everyday pet-care tools and resources.
HomeBound is operated by HomeBound Pet Technologies LLC.
Beta version
HomeBound is currently in beta development and testing. Features may change, contain errors, be incomplete, or become temporarily unavailable while the service is tested and improved.
Accounts
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your sign-in credentials, and using your account only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access.
Pet recovery information
HomeBound provides tools to help users share, compare, and review recovery information. SmartMatch results, Smart Tag information, Lost and Found reports, community content, and other user-submitted details are not guarantees of identity, ownership, location, or recovery. Users should verify information and use reasonable safety precautions before arranging a reunion.
Secure Reunion
Secure Reunion tools are intended to help owners and finders communicate without unnecessarily exposing private contact information. Users remain responsible for deciding what information to share and for taking appropriate precautions when meeting or transferring a pet.
Smart Tags
Smart Tag functionality may depend on a compatible phone, network access, an active tag, and availability of HomeBound services. A HomeBound Smart Tag is not a GPS tracker and does not continuously report a pet's location.
Health, education, and emergency information
HomeBound may provide educational pet-care information and tools for organizing health records. HomeBound does not provide veterinary diagnosis or treatment and is not a substitute for a licensed veterinarian or other qualified professional.
HomeBound is not an emergency dispatch service and does not replace veterinary emergency care, law enforcement, animal control, poison-control services, or other emergency resources.
User responsibilities
When using HomeBound, you agree not to:
- Knowingly provide false or misleading recovery information.
- Impersonate an owner, finder, business, rescue, shelter, or other person or organization.
- Use HomeBound to harass, deceive, threaten, stalk, exploit, or expose private information.
- Upload unlawful, harmful, infringing, or malicious content.
- Attempt to bypass security, access another user's private information, or interfere with the service.
- Use HomeBound in violation of applicable law.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit to HomeBound. You give HomeBound permission to store, process, display, and transmit that content as reasonably necessary to provide the features you choose to use, operate the service, and support recovery and community functions.
Launch notifications
Visitors may choose to submit an email address to receive HomeBound beta or launch updates. Signing up for launch notifications does not create a paid subscription or guarantee a particular launch date, feature, platform, or availability.
Third-party services
HomeBound may rely on third-party services such as hosting, maps, authentication, storage, communications, or app-store platforms. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
Availability and changes
We may update, limit, suspend, replace, or discontinue beta features when reasonably necessary for safety, security, testing, maintenance, legal compliance, or product development.
No guarantee of recovery
HomeBound is intended to improve access to recovery tools, but we cannot guarantee that a missing pet will be located, identified, returned, or reunited with an owner.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Beta Terms as HomeBound evolves. When material changes are made, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
